Gratitude Note

The time I (Tulsi) met Amit ji the three words came in my mind that time was simple, peaceful and relaxed. I was looking for a teacher who could teach me all about simplicity, being peaceful from inside and relaxed all the time. Amit’s innocent smile, friendly behavior and love for food made me make him the best facilitator I have ever got.

Beyond Manzil

मंज़िल में हर चीज़, हर विषय को ज़िन्दगी से जोड़ा जाता है जो की एक मूल स्त्रोत है सबकी learning का| मंज़िल की Beyond Manzil की सूची में से इस बार हम आपके लिए लाए है मंज़िल का WRIJ project| WRIJ चार अक्षरों से मिलकर बना एक शब्द है जिसके पहले अक्षर W का मतलब है (willingness), R (Readiness), I (Internship) और J (Job).

मंजिल के सफ़र में चलते-चलते पता ही नहीं चला के कब हमने 20 साल पूरे कर लिए और 10000 लोगों की जिंदगियो को छू लिया | मंज़िल में हमने हमेशा चाहा के हर एक अपनी मंज़िल खुद चुने, पर इसी बीच हमने देखा के हमारे समाज में आज भी काम करना और पढ़ाई करना 2 अलग अलग चीज़े है| या तो आप पढ़ाई कर सकते हो या फिर नौकरी | शायद इसी लिए कई बच्चें ये सोच ही नहीं पाते के उनको अपनी ज़िन्दगी में आगे जा कर करना क्या है | मंज़िल ने सबसे पहले जाना के कई बच्चें और उनके माता-पिता चाहते ही नहीं के बच्चे इन सब के बारे में सोचे | हाँ आगे जा कर क्या बनना है ये सोच लेते है, पर वहाँ तक पहुचना कैसे है इसके लिए कभी कुछ काम करते ही नहीं | हर साल दसवी और बारहवी के exam के बाद जब भी बच्चों से बात होती तो बस यही सुनने को मिलता के सरकारी नौकरी मिल जाये या कुछ भी जिसमे अच्छा पैसा हो |

हमने सबसे पहले यह सोचा के हम ये project किन students के साथ चलाना चाहेंगे तो निकल कर आया, हर एक मंज़िल का student जिसको 1 साल हो गया है मंज़िल में और 18 साल की ऊम्र का है, उसके लिए होगा WRIJ project | 250 बच्चों में से हमने 37 बच्चों की list बनाई | हर बच्चे को एक mentor core team member दिया गया जिसका काम था उस बच्चे के बारे में पता लगाये कि उसकी strength क्या है, interest क्या है, उसको क्या करना है ज़िन्दगी में और उसको पाने के लिए उसको क्या तकलीफें आ रही है | W, R, I, J महज़ एक अक्षर नहीं बल्कि अपने आप में एक स्तर (level) है, तो हर बच्चे से बात करके उसको W, R, I, J में बदल दिया गया | जैसा कि हमे लगा ही था ज्यादातर बच्चें W यानि willingness level में आए |

करीब एक साल होने को आया है और कई मंज़िल के बच्चों की नौकरिया लग चुकी है | अब हर workshop/session मंज़िल में इसे सोच के किया जाता है के आगे जा के बच्चें इसको कैसे अपने काम में लायेंगे | साथ ही साथ जहाँ पहले सिर्फ 1-2 बच्चे volunteer करते थे, अब हमारे पास करीब 10 active volunteers है | अगले साल तक हम 30 बच्चों को ऐसी नौकरी में लगा देंगे जो वो करना चाहते है और जिसमे वो माहिर भी है | 

मेरा सफर

कितनी लड़ाई और बाकी है,

न जाने कितने इम्तिहान और आने है|

हर सपने को तोड़कर वक्त आगे निकलता है, 

आज भी उम्मीद वही खड़ी है, बाहें फैलाये और उसके पूरे हो जाने का स्वपन देखती है|

अपने आप में बड़बड़ाती है,

तू कब आएगी?

MANZIL WINTER CAMP

The Manzil Winter Camp was organised from December 12, 2016 to December 26, 2016 and consisted of multiple sessions conducted by teachers to make the holidays more fun for the students of Manzil. The sessions were organised from 3 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, to ensure maximum participation.

मंजिल ने अपने 20 साल के सफर में बहुत से हीरे तराशे है उनमे से एक हैं हम सबके अनिल भईया 17 साल पहले अनिल भईया मंजिल से एक वाॅलंटियर के रूप में जुड़े थे, और अगले 7 सालो तक वो इसी रूप में काम करते रहे। उसके बाद उन्होंने कंप्यूटर के टीचर का पद सम्भाला और अब तक वो अपनी ये जगह बनाये हुए है।

Gratitude Note - Anirudh

Anirudh is like one of our best brothers and is a really nice teacher.  He has been teaching Maths at Manzil for 2 years and has also started teaching English now. When he teaches, he explains things from the beginning, so it directly sets in students mind and they are unable to forget it.

How One Opportunity Can Change a Girl's Life

Issues are always present in our society but in spite of all the issues, we need to look upon new opportunities to make a change in girls' lives. Societal norms always exist in society which makes us always afraid to voice our strong opinion, because of the un acceptance and the outrage we receive from the others.
